ZooTampa at Lowry Park

ZooTampa at Lowry Park was voted Best Kids Attraction in Tampa Magazine’s Best of South Tampa 2021 awards. Five-time winner of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence (2010-2015), ZooTampa at Lowry Park is one of the most popular zoos in the southeastern US, with close to 1 million visitors annually. The Zoo originated in the 1930s as a municipal department with a small number of Florida native species.

Bright Vessel came in as a technology partner and helped them with their website development and online booking issues with WooCommerce by moving them to the WPVIP platform. With over 3000 bookings a day online needed a well-balanced solution that would handle the load and a technology partner that could support them. Bright Vessel was able to come in and, in little as two months, get them to switch over to provide the support they needed so they could change the way they do business due to the COVID outbreak.

Turkey Merck creates spooky, one-of-a-kind ceramic coffee mugs for horror fans.

Each handcrafted piece is made using the best stoneware and ceramic glazes available. This lengthy process involves hours of detailed craftsmanship, meaning no two mugs are exactly alike.

Due to extremely high demand, Turkey Merck announces release dates a week before going on sale. “Mugs are released at specific times on the day… to provide customers with the best opportunity to purchase one,” says creator Kevin Merck. Site performance and customer experience are critical to their success, as each new design routinely sells out within an hour.

“It is always a very humbling experience when a collector chooses to purchase one of our mugs, and we are forever grateful.”

Bright Vessel teamed up with Turkey Merck to perform an SEO audit and fix pre-existing issues ahead of a product launch. This resulted in a brand-new design and site build, giving Kevin improved control over each future release.

Various new and reusable templates have improved productivity by 500%. Website speed increased by 700%, thanks to a move to Amazon AWS Lightsail servers.

Bright Vessel additionally took on the hefty challenge of importing past orders from three previous eCommerce frameworks. This allowed past customers continued access to their complete order history. They integrated a custom Klipfolio sales dashboard with the WooCommerce API to reward loyal collectors by creating a loyalty program with fine-tuned data.

1up Racing is a performance RC car accessory company located in Costa Mesa, California, sold by retailers throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Founded in 2017 by championship RC racer and talented mechanic Randy Caster, 1up Racing was a success right out of the gate. They began with a series of oils and lubricants that were used to claim 14 national titles from around the globe in our first year of business! Today, there are dozens of products wearing the 1up Racing label, with more being developed and added all the time.

Raptis Rare Books is an antiquarian book store located in Palm Beach FL, specializing in fine first editions, signed and inscribed books, as well as landmark books in all fields.

Raptis Rare Books have earned a reputation for handling unique and important books that are in exceptional condition. Bright Vessel came aboard in 2017 to help Raptis Rare Books with its growth challenges and became its technology partner. They redeveloped their site to allow for more marketability by customizing their book feeds, creating a custom data structure for their catalog, moving their hosting infrastructure to Amazon AWS, and marketing automation using the platform Metrillo. In as little as 2 years, its online presence has grown by 400% and continues to climb making them one of the largest rare book collection websites in the world.

Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting

The company’s artistic heritage began in the New York glassmaking factory founded by Max Blumberg in the late nineteenth century. In 1940, his son Jack Blumberg gathered the finest designers, sculptors, and decorative artists to fulfill their shared vision of becoming the world’s premier lighting manufacturer, and Fine Art Lamps was born.

In 1965, Jack’s son Max carried on the commitment of his grandfather and father to design excellence and superb workmanship. In 1976, the company moved to Miami and expanded its operations capitalizing on the dynamic and creative culture thriving in South Florida at the time. Over time, Fine Art has been honored with numerous design awards, including the prestigious ART Manufacturer of the Year Award an unprecedented nine times, distinguishing the company beyond compare, and cementing our induction into the ART Hall of Fame.

In early 2018, as Max looked to enjoy new adventures in retirement, the company was acquired by his long-term executive team, Laura Goldblum and Rene Quintana. Vowing to continue the exceptional legacy the Blumberg family initiated while updating the look and feel for today’s savvy consumer, Fine Art Lamps was rebranded to Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting- a name more descriptive of the artistry and craftsmanship involved in creating their original product designs.

In 2018, Bright Vessel came aboard as a technology partner to expand its online presence by providing better search engine optimization, new website builds, consulting on back-office functionality, and creating a custom AWS hosting infrastructure that can handle complex variations for products.

I’m the founder of Bespoke Southerly, an e-commerce platform that allows customers to custom-design their own cocktail dresses.

I hired them to design an eCommerce website and increase my business's social media presence in advance of my business launch.

They created an initial design for the website and we’re building it in WordPress and using the WooCommerce plugin. They’re handling the e-store configuration, credit card processing, tax settings, and overall site development. Shipping is mostly handled through the factory I work with, but Bright Vessel’s handling some of that configuration as well, and then adding SEO plugins like Yoast and Google Analytics. They’re also going to set up a search function for the site after our product line expands.

One key feature that I need is a visualizer for the custom products that will show the customers exactly how their design looks. None of the pre-made visualizers were sufficient, so Judd Dunagan [Founder, Bright Vessel], is coding a custom plugin for us.

Once the site is up and running, they’ll handle updates, site maintenance, and bug fixes. I may also have them build new pages or upload content as the business grows, but I hope to get in-house staff to handle that eventually.

I received their first proposal in April 2017, and our relationship is ongoing. The site is still in development because I ran into a delay with the product samples and couldn't get the visual content ready for upload. They’ve been very understanding and professional and demonstrated great flexibility now that I'm in a position to move forward again.

I was impressed by the depth of their technical knowledge. Another thing that's unique, and valuable, is that there's no billing office to run through — the prices are adjusted by the people doing the work. I think that's why Bright Vessel's been so cost-effective.
